One of Macuil's mission is to share with the world the transpersonal education model we have created: the professional integration of the arts and sciences of ancient Mexico with transpersonal therapeutic approaches.

Eleven years after our foundation, in the upcoming year 2025, on behalf of our community, with great joy and a sense of accomplishment, we warmly welcome you to the 25th edition of the EUROTAS International Congress.

Who are we?

Macuil Institute

At Macuil, we are pioneers in the creation of an experiential and transformative education that integrates transpersonal psychology and expressive arts with Mexican traditions.

Since 2014, we are forming an international community committed to the development of creative and transformative learning experiences. We provide quality transpersonal and holistic education programs, as well as psycho-spiritual approaches and perspectives for human evolution.

Through a recognized vocational training program, we study and apply new paradigms for physical, emotional and spiritual health. We generate processes of self-study, where our students learn through experience; we facilitate access to human potentialities, opening the way to become creators of visionary communities.

Transpersonal Psychology Program

We educate professionals who seek to incorporate psychological and spiritual approaches to their life experience and vocational work.

Model

Our teaching model consists of the study of psycho-spiritual theories and practices designed to explore and awaken awareness of the inner life and restore the relationship with the world around us. We offer an education at a personal and professional level applicable to areas of health, education, art and social regeneration.

Axes

The Transpersonal Psychology Program is composed of nine fundamental axes, where we study in depth how to apply transpersonal and holistic paradigms, woven with art and traditional Mexican knowledge, to facilitate inner psychological work and life transitions in more authentic and visionary ways.

Community

We offer a unique learning environment where students learn through their own experience. We value the development of human understanding and the creation of new ways of living in supportive relationships and creating visionary communities.

Vision

Through our educational programs students gain access to their own worldview and rich collective memory, gaining the confidence and power to live it out in their daily lives; the realization of their own gifts, we call:“Identity and Creation” – moix, momah.

Our Program

The education programs at Macuil are formative and lead our students to acquire new skills and understandings to apply both to their own processes and to their educational, formative and therapeutic work with others.

Students learn to explore the broad spectrum of consciousness and how they can apply it to their own lives and experiences.

Learning becomes more challenging and enriching as we learn to expand the lens through which we experience ourselves and the world around us.

Creators of Macuil

Instituto Macuil was founded in 2014 by Maria Islas with the collaboration of Martin Peake and Sven Doehner to promote transpersonal education in Mexico, in particular, the study of consciousness through innovative cross-cultural and psycho-spiritual training programs.

When you choose to study at Macuil, you become part of the growing network of individuals around the world working to redefine notions of health and illness, creating new bridges for the journey of human fulfillment and towards the evolution of planetary consciousness.

In addition, you add your individual gifts to those of a community that seeks to respect, preserve and promote ancestral knowledge as legitimate sciences that re-educate our ways of experiencing and acting in the changing realities of contemporary life.

We are part of an international community of researchers, educators, practitioners of transpersonal psychology and, with great joy and honor, one of Macuil's tasks is to transmit, throughout the world, the model of transpersonal education that we have created: the professional integration of ancestral knowledge of our beloved Anawak with transpersonal therapeutic proposals, both theoretical and methodological.
